Highlands Conservation Organizations

  • Hudsonia is an Environmental Research Institute for the Hudson Valley, including the Hudson Highlands, based at Red Hook, NY.
  • The Black Rock Forest is administered and used as a field station by the Black Rock Forest Consortium. The Consortium provides a center for research and teaching at all levels at the Forest in Cornwall, NY.
  • HenRI is a clearinghouse for the dissemination and advancement of environmental research in the Highlands Region, with headquarters at the Sterling Forest State Park, Tuxedo, NY.
  • Highlands Coalition is an alliance of over one hundred conservation and land trust organizations in the four-state Highlands Region.
