Chinkapin Oak
SIZE: 65'H x 65'W.
HARDINESS: zone 5 to 8.
HABIT: Rounded with an open crown, often wider than tall.
FOLIAGE: 4" - 6" oblong-lanceolate leaves, shiny green turning yellow-brown to orange in fall.
DESCRIPTION: Good shade and specimen tree for large areas, tolerates poor soils, oak wilt may be a problem. As with all oaks, acorns can cause litter problem.
