Statewide Forest Resource Planning

Crystall Ball Globe Award

To meet the requirements of the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act, as amended by the 2008 Farm Bill (PL 110-246), State forestry agencies have each completed a Statewide Forest Resource Assessment and Strategy. These documents represent profound and dedicated efforts, in coordination with many partners, to examine the conditions, trends, and threats to forest resources; identify priorities within each state and across state boundaries; and outline strategies for addressing those threats and priorities. Focused across public and private forest land and from the urban to rural continuum, the results of their work provide a foundation for all-lands management in landscape conservation.
